A compact and floriferous Martagon lily producing numerous small, downward-facing Turk's-cap flowers with strongly recurved petals. The blooms are rich golden orange-yellow, heavily spotted with dark red to burgundy, and are carried above glossy dark green foliage. Excellent for naturalising in informal borders, woodland edges and lightly shaded planting

Planting and Care Information
Planting Instructions: Plant in well-drained soil enriched with leaf mould or well-rotted organic matter. Plant bulbs 15–20 cm deep and approximately 30 cm apart. Ideally give the flowering stems good light while shading the base. Martagons can take time to establish, so leave them undisturbed once settled.
Soil and Drainage Requirements: Chalk, Loam, Sandy soil; moist but well drained; Acid, Neutral, Alkaline
Preferred Location: Full sun or Partial shade; East, South or West facing; Sheltered
Care: Deadhead after flowering and leave the foliage to die back naturally before cutting down the stems. Maintain moisture during active growth while avoiding waterlogging. Established plants gradually naturalise and produce stronger clumps. Monitor for lily beetle, aphids, slugs and other common lily pests.
