Delivery & Ordering

From the moment you place your order to the day your bulbs arrive, we want the process to be as straightforward as possible.

Because we supply living, seasonal products, our ordering and delivery process differs slightly from that of a typical online purchase. The information below explains what you can expect and answers many of our customers' most frequently asked questions.

Before You Order

Seasonal Products: Many of our bulbs are available to pre-order and are dispatched during their natural planting season.

Split Deliveries: Orders containing products with different availability dates may be dispatched in separate deliveries to ensure optimum planting quality.

Delivery Charges: Delivery charges are calculated according to your order value and delivery location.

International Orders: Export documentation or plant health certificates may be required for deliveries outside mainland Great Britain.

Placing Your Order

Orders can be placed securely through our website or by contacting our team directly by telephone or email.

To help us process your order accurately, please quote the product code and variety name wherever possible.

Submitting an order confirms your request to purchase. All orders remain subject to product availability, successful crop production and acceptance by Jacques Amand Wholesale.

Should we need to clarify any aspect of your order, a member of our team will contact you using the details you have provided.

Submitting an order does not automatically mean it has been accepted. Your order is confirmed once we issue an Order Confirmation, at which point a contract is formed subject to our Wholesale Terms & Conditions.

Payment Terms

Payment through the website is made securely by approved debit or credit card using Shopify Payments. Card payment details are processed securely by Shopify Payments and are not stored by Jacques Amand Wholesale.

For approved trade customers, we may offer payment by invoice. Where payment is made by invoice, BACS is our preferred method. Please use your customer account number or invoice number as the payment reference so that we can allocate your payment correctly.

Trade credit accounts are offered at our discretion and may be approved, amended, suspended or withdrawn at any time. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, invoices for approved trade accounts are due within thirty (30) days of the invoice date.

Payments must be received in full in the invoiced currency. Customers are responsible for any bank, exchange or transaction charges, and any resulting shortfall will remain payable.

Full details are set out in our Wholesale Terms & Conditions of Sale. If you have any questions about payment options or trade credit, please contact our team before placing your order.

Seasonal Dispatch

Unlike many online shops, we supply products according to their natural growing cycle.

Many flower bulbs are harvested only once each year and become available for dispatch during specific planting seasons. Ordering in advance allows us to reserve stock for you before harvest.

Products are dispatched once they have been lifted, inspected and prepared for shipping.

Estimated dispatch periods are shown on individual product pages wherever possible. Please note these are intended as guides and may vary depending on weather conditions, crop performance and harvesting schedules.

Why hasn't my order arrived yet?

If you've ordered bulbs before their harvest period, your order is reserved and will be dispatched when the bulbs are ready. This helps ensure they arrive in the best possible condition for planting.

Product Availability

We work with specialist growers throughout Europe, the USA, Japan, India and beyond to source high-quality flower bulbs and plants.

As our products are living crops, availability is always subject to successful cultivation, harvesting and quality inspection.

In the event that an item becomes unavailable after your order has been placed, we will either:

  • provide a suitable substitute in accordance with our Product Substitutions policy below;
  • delay dispatch if replacement stock is expected within a reasonable timeframe;
  • remove the unavailable item from your order; or
  • issue a refund or credit, where appropriate.

Product Substitutions

To avoid unnecessary delays to your order, we may substitute an unavailable variety with the closest suitable alternative of equal or greater value.

Where a suitable substitute is not available, or where the substitution would materially differ from the item ordered, we will contact you before dispatch to discuss the available options.

If you do not wish to receive substitutions, please let us know when placing your order and we will only supply the varieties originally ordered.

Split Deliveries

Many customers order bulbs that naturally become available at different times throughout the season.

Where we split an order for operational or product-quality reasons, no additional delivery charge will be made unless we have explained the charge and you have agreed to it in advance.

If you would prefer your complete order to be delivered together, please contact us before placing your order. Please note this may affect the condition or planting suitability of some products.

Deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Scottish Islands, Isle of Wight, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, Channel Islands and other remote locations may incur additional courier charges.

Northern Ireland

Deliveries to Northern Ireland must comply with current plant health regulations.

Where required, phytosanitary certificates are supplied free of charge.

Where applicable, CITES permits will be arranged and charged at cost.

As import requirements may change, we recommend contacting us before placing your order if your delivery destination is Northern Ireland.

International Deliveries

We proudly supply customers around the world.

Many countries require official plant health documentation before bulbs and plants can be imported.

Additional inspection, certification or customs documentation may therefore be required depending on your destination.

Please visit our Export, CITES & Phytosanitary Information page for further guidance before placing an international order.

Delivery Times

Every effort is made to dispatch orders promptly once products become available.

Requested delivery dates will always be accommodated where reasonably possible.

However, because we are supplying living seasonal products, estimated dispatch cannot be guaranteed.

Jacques Amand Wholesale shall not be liable for delays arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, crop failure, transport disruption, customs procedures or government restrictions.

Collections

Orders may also be collected by prior arrangement only.

Please allow a minimum of three full working days' notice before your preferred collection date.

Collection availability may vary according to the season and stock location.

Receiving Your Order

Please inspect your order as soon as reasonably practicable after delivery.

If your order appears damaged, incomplete or incorrect, please notify us in writing within seven days of receipt.

Where possible, please include photographs of both the products and the packaging to help us investigate quickly.

Please retain the original packaging until your claim has been resolved.

Caring for Your Bulbs

Bulbs are living products and should be unpacked as soon as possible after delivery.

Until planting, they should be stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location away from direct sunlight.

Growing instructions are available on individual product pages and throughout our website.
