Refund policy

Returns & Refunds

We take great care to supply healthy, high-quality bulbs and plants that are true to name and carefully packed for delivery.

Because our products are living, seasonal items, returns and refunds are handled slightly differently from many standard online purchases. This page explains what to do if something arrives damaged, incorrect or not as expected.

Before You Contact Us

Check Your Order Promptly

Please inspect your delivery as soon as reasonably practicable after it arrives.

Take Photographs

If anything appears damaged, incorrect or in poor condition, photographs help us investigate quickly.

Remember They Are Living Products

Bulbs are often supplied dormant and may naturally vary in size, shape and appearance.

Contact Us in Writing

Please email us within the relevant timescale so we have a clear record of your query.

Our Quality Promise

Every order is carefully checked before dispatch.

We take all reasonable care to ensure that products are correctly identified, carefully packed and in suitable condition for planting when dispatched.

Bulbs and plants are living products, so natural variation is expected. Size, shape, colour and appearance may vary according to the species, variety, commercial grading and time of year.

Many bulbs are supplied in their natural dormant state and may not resemble actively growing plants when they arrive.

Damaged, Missing or Incorrect Items

Please inspect your delivery promptly.

Visible shortages, incorrect goods or transit damage should be reported in writing as soon as possible and within seven days of receipt.

If a quality issue could not reasonably have been identified on delivery, please contact us promptly after discovering it.

Where possible, please include:

  • your order number;
  • the name of the item affected;
  • a brief description of the issue;
  • photographs of the product;
  • photographs of the packaging, where relevant.

Please retain the original packaging until the matter has been resolved, as this may be required for courier claims.

Once we have reviewed the issue, we may offer one or more of the following:

  • replacement goods;
  • missing items sent separately;
  • a suitable alternative product;
  • a credit note;
  • a refund.

Quality Concerns After Delivery

Some quality issues may not be immediately apparent on arrival.

If you believe there is a genuine quality issue with your bulbs or plants after delivery, please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware of the problem.

We may ask for photographs, details of how the bulbs have been stored or planted, and any other information that helps us assess the issue fairly.

Where we agree that the product was faulty or not of satisfactory quality, we will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include replacement, credit or refund.

Growing Performance

We take reasonable care to ensure that products are correctly identified, carefully packed and in suitable condition for planting when dispatched.

However, successful establishment, flowering and performance depend upon factors outside our control, including:

  • planting depth;
  • soil type;
  • drainage;
  • weather conditions;
  • temperature;
  • storage after delivery;
  • pests and disease;
  • ongoing care.

For this reason, we cannot guarantee flowering performance, establishment or productiveness once goods have been delivered and are outside our care.

Storing Bulbs Before Planting

Bulbs should be unpacked as soon as possible after delivery.

Until planting, they should be kept in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and frost.

Poor storage conditions after delivery may affect product quality and growing performance.

Returns

Please do not return bulbs, plants or other living products without contacting us first.

Because bulbs and plants are living and often perishable products, unauthorised returns may not be accepted.

If a return is agreed, we will confirm:

  • where the item should be sent;
  • how it should be packaged;
  • whether a refund, credit or replacement will apply.

Cancelling an Order

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel an order.

We can usually cancel an order that has not yet been processed, packed, dispatched, specially ordered or reserved against limited seasonal stock.

Once processing has begun, cancellation may be at our discretion.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Where you are buying as a consumer, you may have legal rights in relation to faulty goods or certain online purchases.

Because bulbs and plants are living and seasonal products, cancellation and return rights may depend on the type of product, its condition, whether it is perishable, and whether it has been specially sourced or prepared.

If you are unsure, please contact us and we will review your query fairly.

Refunds

Where a refund is agreed, it will normally be made using the original payment method.

Refunds will be processed as soon as reasonably possible once the issue has been reviewed and any returned goods have been received, where applicable.

Original delivery charges may not be refunded unless the goods were faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise supplied in error.

Trade and Wholesale Customers

Where goods are supplied to trade or wholesale customers, claims for shortages, transit damage or incorrect items must be notified in writing within seven days of receipt.

Trade and wholesale remedies may be limited to replacement, credit or refund at our discretion, depending on the circumstances.
