Planting Instructions: Plant in well-drained soil enriched with leaf mould or well-rotted organic matter. Plant bulbs around 15–20 cm deep and position in groups for the strongest effect. Its tall flowering stems benefit from a site protected from strong winds. The soil should remain adequately moist during active growth without becoming waterlogged.
Soil and Drainage Requirements: Clay, Loam, Sandy soil; moist but well-drained; Acid to Neutral
Preferred Location: Full sun; East, South, West or North facing; Sheltered
Care: Water during prolonged dry spells and feed during active growth. Deadhead spent flowers but allow the stems and foliage to die back naturally before removing them. Offsets can be separated once the foliage has died down. Monitor for lily beetle, aphids, slugs and snails.
