An attractive Martagon hybrid producing lightly scented, nodding Turk's-cap flowers with strongly recurved tepals. The flowers combine glowing golden-yellow and warm orange tones, densely marked with dark red spots, creating a particularly rich effect. An excellent naturalising lily for informal borders and lightly shaded woodland-style planting.

Planting and Care Information

Planting Instructions: Plant bulbs approximately 10–15 cm deep and 30–40 cm apart in fertile, well-drained soil. Choose the position carefully because Martagon lilies dislike disturbance and can take an additional season to settle after planting. Once established, they can remain and increase for many years.

Soil and Drainage Requirements: Chalk, Loam, Sandy soil; moist but well drained; Acid, Neutral, Alkaline

Preferred Location: Full sun or Partial shade; North, East, South or West facing

Care: Keep adequately moist during active growth while maintaining good drainage. Allow stems and foliage to die back naturally after flowering. Avoid lifting or moving established bulbs unnecessarily; Martagons may fail to flower immediately after disturbance but become long-lived once settled.
