Planting and Care Information
Planting Instructions: Plant bulbs approximately 15–20 cm deep in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Planting in groups creates the strongest effect. Keep the roots cool with mulch or surrounding low-growing plants while allowing the flowering stems good light.
Soil and Drainage Requirements: Chalk, Loam, Sandy soil; moist but well-drained; Acid, Neutral or Alkaline
Preferred Location: Full sun or Partial shade; East, South or West-facing; Sheltered
Care: Water during active growth without waterlogging. Feed during the growing season. Deadhead spent flowers but leave stems and foliage until they yellow and die back naturally. Established plants can become increasingly floriferous and may require staking to support the weight of numerous blooms.
