Planting and Care Information
Planting and Care Information
Planting Instructions: Plant bulbs approximately 15 cm deep, generally around 15–30 cm apart, in fertile soil enriched with organic matter. Deep planting is particularly useful for stem-rooting lilies. Plant in groups for the strongest display and choose a position protected from strong winds.
Soil and Drainage Requirements: Clay, Loam, Sandy Soil; Moist but well drained;Acid to Neutral
Preferred Location: Full sun or Partial shade; East, South or West facing; Sheltered
Care: Water freely during active growth without waterlogging the soil. Feed during the growing season, particularly when container-grown. Deadhead after flowering but leave the stem and foliage until they have died back naturally, allowing energy to return to the bulb. Tall, established plants may require staking.
