Iridaceae
Crocuses are compact cormous perennials with slender leaves, often marked by a silvery central stripe, and colourful goblet-shaped flowers. Depending on the species, they flower in autumn, winter or early spring and are ideal for naturalising in lawns, borders and containers. Dutch Large-flowering Crocuses are hardy, cormous perennials producing broad, goblet-shaped flowers above narrow, grass-like leaves with a distinctive silvery central stripe. Flowering from late winter into early spring, they are excellent for borders, containers, lawns and naturalising, where they will establish and multiply over time.
