Arum italicum marmoratum

Arum are tuberous perennials with attractive, arrow-shaped to deeply divided foliage and distinctive hooded flowers comprising a spathe surrounding a central spadix. Many species are followed by striking clusters of bright orange or red berries, extending their ornamental interest. Flowering from spring to early summer, they are well suited to woodland gardens, shaded borders and naturalistic plantings, thriving in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soils.
