Roscoea is a genus of perennial plants of the family Zingiberaceae.
The species are native to mountainous regions of the Himalayas and China. The flowers may look like orchids but they are not related.
Flowering time: June-July.
Height: 15-25cm.
Suitable for open borders and rock gardens. They like partial sun or shade.
