Since early planting gives these bulbs the best possible start we recommend that you plant as soon as you can. Alliums prefer light, well drained, fertile soil conditions. Heavy soil should, therefore, be improved by thoroughly mixing in a generous amount of coarse, gritty sand. Once planted the bulbs may be left undisturbed.
